September 2025: What’s new in AntsRoute?

Published on 26 September 2025 • Reading time: 6 min read

Our team is continuing to develop AntsRoute to provide software that is even easier to use, more efficient, and better suited to your daily needs. This month, we’re introducing several new features that will further enhance your experience, both in terms of planning and route monitoring.

Table of contents:

  • Hide completed tasks on the web interface
  • A new display for the cluster marker
  • Delivery zones: display existing zones
  • Display basket’s work orders in the Monitor module
  • View locked routes in the weekly schedule
  • Bulk edit tasks: location of work orders + custom fields
  • Capacities: sorting using drag-and-drop
  • Driver absences: retroactive editing
  • Mobile app: save and auto-fill login credentials
  • Packages: integration into reports
  • New API endpoints

Hide completed tasks on the web interface

Already available in the mobile app, the option to hide completed tasks is now coming to the web interface.
From the route details in the Monitor module, simply click on Filter the display and uncheck the Display the done deliveries option. You can then focus only on upcoming steps, while completed tasks are grouped together in a single summary line.

➡️ To learn how to hide completed tasks on the web, check out this support article.

A new display for the cluster marker

The cluster marker, introduced in our previous update, makes it easy to visualize multiple deliveries at the same address on the map.
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve improved its display for greater clarity:

  • A stacked sheets icon now replaces the waves around the marker.
  • The total number of deliveries grouped is shown inside a red circle for immediate readability.
  • Color rules have also been defined to prioritize information:
    • Red (color of unassigned deliveries): If at least one of the deliveries is unassigned.
Even if some deliveries are assigned to a route or come from the basket, the presence of at least one unassigned delivery is enough for the marker to appear red.
    • Blue (color of deliveries from the basket): If at least one of the deliveries comes from the basket.
Even if some deliveries are assigned to a route, the presence of at least one delivery from the basket is enough for the marker to appear blue.
    • Agent’s color: If all deliveries belong to a single route, the marker takes the color of the agent assigned to that route.
    • Blue: If the deliveries belong to several different routes, the marker will appear blue.

➡️ To learn more about the cluster marker display, check out this support article.

Delivery zones: display existing zones

When creating a new delivery zone, you can now display existing zones on the map using the Filter display button.
Simply select the zones you want to show to improve readability and avoid overlaps.

Display basket’s work orders in the Monitor module

Just like in the Organize module, you can now filter the display to view basket tasks in the Monitor module.
To do this, simply open the Monitor module, click on Filter display, and check the option Show basket tasks.
This feature is especially useful if you want to add extra stops to your agents’ ongoing routes.

➡️ To learn more, check out this support article.

View locked routes in the weekly schedule

Until now, locked routes were only visible in the daily schedule view. From now on, they also appear in the weekly schedule view, for better readability and easier tracking.

  • Weekly view by agent: Locked routes are marked with a red background Locked icon in the top right corner of the cell. The cell background is displayed in light red.
  • Weekly view by route name: Locked routes are indicated by a red background Locked icon in the top right corner of the route card.

➡️ For more information about route locking, see this article.

Bulk edit tasks: location of work orders + custom fields

As a reminder, AntsRoute lets you edit multiple tasks simultaneously, helping planners save valuable time. You can quickly apply the same changes to several appointments without updating them one by one.

To go even further, bulk editing now includes new fields: location of work order and custom fields.
From the task list, select the appointments you want to update, then click Action > Edit to apply changes simultaneously.

➡️ To learn more about bulk editing tasks, check out this support article.

Capacities: sorting using drag-and-drop

Capacity management is evolving! If you use our feature for managing capacities (i.e., numeric constraints between vehicles, routes, and deliveries), you can now:

  • Organize capacities alphabetically (A → Z or Z → A).
  • Reorder capacities with a simple drag-and-drop from the Position column.

The chosen order is automatically applied during planning and in the mobile app.

➡️ To learn more about managing capacities, check out this support article.

Driver absences: retroactive editing

Until now, it wasn’t possible to edit an absence already recorded in the past. That’s now possible!
From the agent’s profile or directly in the calendar of non-working days, you can modify the absence type and the associated comment, even if the date has already passed.
Just click on … > Edit, make the necessary changes, then click Save. And it’s done!

Mobile app: save and auto-fill login credentials

A highly requested feature is now available: the ability to save your username and password for auto-fill in the mobile app.
This is a real time-saver for your field teams, who can now access their accounts with ease.

Depending on your phone, you’ll be prompted during your next login to save your credentials. For future logins, your details will already be filled in and you’ll just need to click Log in.

⚠️ Don’t forget to update your mobile app to access this new feature.

Packages: integration into reports

Good news for those using the package management feature! You can now add the table of delivered parcels into your reports (or delivery notes).
These reports, generated in PDF or sent by SMS/email to customers, are now more complete and precise.

➡️ To configure your reports and delivery notes, check out this support article.

New API endpoints

Our API continues to evolve to better adapt to your business needs. Three new endpoints are now available:

  • Work order returned to basket
  • Planned loading/unloading time (pickup and delivery)
  • Actual task duration

➡️ Check out the API documentation.

Any questions? Don’t hesitate to contact our support team by filling out our contact form or directly via the chat available in your AntsRoute account. We’ll be happy to help!
See you soon on AntsRoute.
