Good news! We still have some new functionality to offer you for this month of September. 😉 Here is an overview of the new features:
Validate the new end of route step from the mobile application ;
Add attached documents about customers and view them from the mobile app ;
Edit the extra fields about customers from the mobile app.
We already offered users access to files about orders from the mobile application. We are going even further with this new feature: the possibility to add customer attachments when creating a new client from the AntsRoute interface. These files, which are often useful for the successful completion of operations or deliveries, are then visible from the mobile application and can be opened at any time by the field worker during his/her route.
To allow drivers to access the attachments from the mobile application, the user must upload these files when creating a new client. It is also possible to add files for an existing customer by opening the “More details” pop-up of the corresponding order.
Drivers can view the attachments during their route from the mobile application by clicking on one of the steps in the list of orders. It is also possible to view the attachments of the daily orders that have been completed.
The new version of the route optimization software allows the field workers to edit the extra fields which concern the customers from the mobile application. These extra fields, determined by the scheduler from the interface, may contain input errors. That’s why we have added this new feature that allows drivers to make the required changes directly from the mobile application.
When extra fields have been filled in by the scheduler from the AntsRoute interface, they are visible in the details of orders from the mobile application on the day of the route.
To edit an extra field, the driver just has to click on “Edit” and makes the required changes before clicking on “Confirm”. The changes are then visible in real time from the “Monitor” module of the interface.

This new version of the software allows drivers to view a new step at the end of the route. Up to now, a worker’s route was automatically ended when the last order of his list was completed. Now, the field worker can view an additional step which makes it possible to open the navigation app to go to the arrival address before ending the route.
This end of route step (“End route”) is visible at the end of the list of orders and allows the field worker to launch navigation one last time to go to the arrival address that has been defined from the interface.
When completing this end of route step, the driver can add an end of route comment. For example, it is possible to give information regarding the smooth running of the route and any unforeseen events that may have occurred.
The information, in particular the route comment and the completion time, is visible in real time from the “Monitor” module of the AntsRoute interface and from the “Analyse” module the day after the route.
