Update AntsRoute customers from updated Quickbooks customers via Zapier
Using Zapier, you can automate the creation and update of AntsRoute customers from new – updated – Quickbooks Customers. Just follow the steps below:
Have not connected your AntsRoute account to Zapier yet? Read the article here.
Go to your Zapier account and click on the “Make a Zap” button.
Step 1: Automate the creation of AntsRoute customers from new Quickbooks customers
Setup the trigger:
Note: New on Quickbooks? To try this trigger, you must add at least one new customer in Quickbooks beforehand.
Setup the action:
Note : Have not connected your AntsRoute account to Zapier yet? Go to your AntsRoute account in order to retrieve the API key that you will be asked for on Zapier. To do this, just go to AntsRoute > click on the “API Key” tab > click on “Add” > Select the site > Click on “Create” > Click on “Copy” > Click on “Continue”. You can now go back to Zapier and click on “Sign in to AntsRoute” and enter the API key you just retrieved and click on “Yes, Continue“.
Note: Make sure that the address is complete with a street number, street name, postcode and city. Select the appropriate value according to your Quickbooks input habits. For example, if the street name is on the second line, select “Ship Addr Line 2”. It is also possible to enter several values: “Ship Addr Line 2”; “Ship Addr Postal Code”; “Ship Addr City”. IMPORTANT ! Add one space between each value.
The creation of the first Zap is now completed. From now, when you add new customers in Quickbooks, these customers will also be added in AntsRoute.
Step 2: Automate the update of AntsRoute customers when updating these customers from Quickbooks
Setup the trigger:
Note: It is the Quickbooks customer that you select during the previous step.
Note: Check that the change you made from Quickbooks is now visible in the client information list that is displayed on Zapier.
Setup the action – Find a customer using the external ID:
Setup the action – Update customer:
Note: You must fill in all the fields that were filled in the first step so that the data can be updated on AntsRoute. For example, if you filled in the mobile phone number field in the first step, you must fill it in for the second step.
