AntsRoute already lets you define drivers&#8217; working hours and include daily breaks. Up until now, these breaks were only visible on the web interface, in routes that had not yet started.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From now on, the break will also be displayed<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li><strong>In ongoing routes<\/strong> in the \u2018Track\u2019 module on the web interface.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On the mobile application<\/strong> used by drivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your teams in the field can view the following information directly on the mobile application:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li><strong>The duration of the break<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Planned start time<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Planned end time<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And there&#8217;s another new feature! It allows you to <strong>assign specific time slots and skills to operations in a given zone over a defined period<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the difference with sectorisation?<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Sectorisation<\/strong> means that drivers can be assigned to fixed sectors, according to a weekly schedule.<br \/>\n<strong>Geographical zones<\/strong> allow you to add <strong>specific constraints over a given period<\/strong>, with exclusion days if necessary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>And that&#8217;s not all!<\/strong> You can assign <strong>personalised constraints<\/strong> to each zone:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li><strong>The period of application<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Days of non-application<\/strong> within this period<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exclusive zone<\/strong> (work orders outside the zone cannot be scheduled during the defined period)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Time slot<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Skills required<\/strong> (in addition to the skills required for work orders)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Good to know<\/strong>: You can use the <strong>sectorisation and geographical zone<\/strong> functionalities at the same time for ultra-optimised management of your routes!<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I activate and use geographical zones?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol id=\"imglist-3\">\n<li><strong>Activate the option in the settings<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>Go to \u2018<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u2019 &gt; \u2018<strong>General settings<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the \u2018<strong>Activate work order zones<\/strong>\u2019 option, then save.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create your first geographical zone<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>A new \u2018<strong>Work order zones<\/strong>\u2019 tab appears in the \u2018<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u2019 module.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u2018<strong>+<\/strong>\u2019 button to add a new zone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Define the zone parameters<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>Specify a <strong>name<\/strong> and a <strong>period of application<\/strong> (e.g. from 29\/01\/2025 to 10\/08\/2025 with a weekly frequency, every Tuesday and Friday).<\/li>\n<li>If necessary, add <strong>days of non-application<\/strong> within this period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Draw the zone on the map<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>In the top left-hand corner of the map, use the tracing tool to draw the boundaries of your zone.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018<strong>Next step<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add constraints<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>Define the applicable <strong>time slot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Specify the <strong>skills required<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Choose whether the zone is <strong>exclusive<\/strong> (work orders outside the zone will not be planned on these dates).<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019. And that&#8217;s it!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Good to know<\/strong>: If <strong>several geographical zones are created on the same dates<\/strong>, they will be \u2018<strong>merged<\/strong>\u2019:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li><strong>The skills of the different zones will be added together<\/strong> and applied to the work order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The time slot selected will be the shortest<\/strong> among the zones concerned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How the time slot works<\/strong>:<br \/>\nIf a work order already has a time slot, <strong>AntsRoute applies the intersection<\/strong> between this slot and the shortest slot of the active zones. But in reality, their customers aren&#8217;t always available. Our users therefore prefer to use time slots to respect their customers&#8217; availability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Option 2: Specific times for each day of the week<\/strong><br \/>\nFor those who don&#8217;t want to use specific time slots, this option is ideal. You simply define the customer&#8217;s <strong>weekly opening hours<\/strong>, and AntsRoute automatically schedules the work orders according to this availability and any other time or business constraints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We&#8217;ve just added a new option<\/strong>: you can now define <strong>personalised opening times for specific dates<\/strong>. This is a very practical solution if your customers have different opening times at certain times of the year, such as during the Christmas holidays or special events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I activate this feature?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt couldn&#8217;t be easier! Just follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol id=\"imglist-3\">\n<li>Go to the customer file and open the \u2018<strong>Opening hours<\/strong>\u2019 tab.<\/li>\n<li>Start by defining the default opening times: choose either \u2018<strong>Always open<\/strong>\u2019 or set times for each day of the week.<\/li>\n<li>To add specific opening hours for a given period, click on \u2018<strong>+ Hours<\/strong>\u2019. You&#8217;re already familiar with our <a href=\"https:\/\/antsroute.com\/en\/software\/the-antsroute-booking-site-has-a-new-look\/\"><strong><u>online booking site<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, which allows your end customers to schedule a service at their home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Until now, you had to choose a fixed date and the service was added directly to your agents&#8217; schedules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s new?<\/strong><br \/>\nFor users of the work order basket, it is now possible to let your customers <strong>choose a period of availability<\/strong>. The appointment request is then added to the <strong>work order basket<\/strong>, along with an availability date and a due date. You can then schedule the appointment at the right time by effectively grouping nearby appointments together, while respecting your time and business constraints. The result? Greater optimisation of your routes and improved customer satisfaction!<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I activate this feature?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol id=\"imglist-3\">\n<li><strong>From your AntsRoute interface:<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>Go to \u2018<strong>Settings<\/strong>\u2019 &gt; \u2018<strong>Booking site<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the \u2018<strong>Service types<\/strong>\u2019 tab.<\/li>\n<li>In the \u2018<strong>Module for adding deliveries<\/strong>\u2019 field, select the \u2018<strong>Add deliveries in the \u201cDeliveries basket\u201d tab<\/strong>\u2019 option.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018<strong>Save<\/strong>\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>On the end customer side:<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>From the booking site, your customers will be able to choose the type of service they require and fill in the information requested, including a desired time slot for the visit.<\/li>\n<li>If you have activated the option, your customers will also be able to define a period of availability before confirming their appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>On the scheduler&#8217;s side:<\/strong>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li>The appointment will be added to the <strong>basket of work orders<\/strong> as an <strong>order to be scheduled<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You can then schedule the appointment according to availability. From now on, you can choose whether or not to <strong>authorise the planning of work orders outside the defined sectors<\/strong>. When creating a sector plan, you can choose between two modes:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"imglist\">\n<li><strong>Flexible mode<\/strong>: out-of-sector customers are automatically assigned to the nearest working area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strict mode<\/strong>: work orders for out-of-sector customers remain <strong>unassigned<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>No more complicated tricks!<\/strong> Previously, some users would draw a \u2018false\u2019 sector around the other sectors without assigning drivers to ensure that out-of-sector work orders remained in the \u2018unassigned\u2019 status.
