The creation of this new delivery service has enabled customers to enjoy the chocolate figurines and the traditional Easter egg hunt. There are usually big crowds in the store during Easter holidays but this year the period was organized differently. Due to the spread of the COVID-19, customers, who no longer come to the store, place the orders directly on the company’s website http://www.leonidas-elcy.be/.
The chocolate company Leonidas Elcy needed easy-to-use solutions to manage home deliveries and finally decided to use AntsRoute. After several days of testing the software, the team was convinced and decided to continue to work with AntsRoute. “We were convinced by the AntsRoute software and we decided to continue to use these routing solutions”, says Caroline Lebrun.

The new home chocolate delivery service is a real success. The company now carries out deliveries in almost the whole Belgian territory. “Home delivery has been much more successful than we could have imagined. Today, we deliver over a large part of Belgium with daily routes up to 600 kilometers”, explains Caroline Lebrun. During the Easter holidays, Leonidas Elcy managed to deliver up to 36 customers per route thanks to the AntsRoute software.
“ When you have to travel 500 kilometers during your daily route to deliver around 30 customers, it’s satisfying when you won’t go twice to the same place and you avoid unnecessary back and forth.“
“Calculating an itinerary to deliver more than 30 customers who are located within a 250-kilometer radius around you is particularly complex. With AntsRoute, we get the best delivery routes in just a few seconds. When you have to travel 500 kilometers during your daily route to deliver around 30 customers, it’s satisfying when you won’t go twice to the same place and you avoid unnecessary back and forth”, continues Caroline Lebrun. Furthermore, the team facilitates the navigation between two delivery addresses thanks to the AntsRoute mobile application, combined with the Waze navigation app. By avoiding traffic jams, accidents, roadworks and closed roads, Leonidas Elcy ensures delivery times.
