One of the most requested features by our users is a system that allows their customers to track the arrival of drivers in real time. We have some great news to share with you: this feature is now available on AntsRoute! 🤩
Here at AntsRoute, our priority is to provide our users and their customers with a smooth experience. To make experience easier for your customers, the team has developed a new feature that allows you to send custom links to let them track the arrival of the technician or the delivery man in real time. There is no doubt: this new functionality will please your customers.
In concrete terms, a tracking link allows you to visualize the progress of a driver on a map. By clicking on this tracking link, your customer also has access to all the information needed to receive a parcel or wait for a technician to arrive at his home.
From this link, your customers will be able to see:
Today, customers expect the best communication when they choose home service or delivery. The first step to a 5-star delivery experience is of course to send notifications. But that’s not always enough… In order to get organized, your customers sometimes need to know the exact arrival time of the driver, down to the minute.
As you can guess, the sending of notification with the waiting time is triggered at a precise moment. For example, when the driver starts his route or as soon as he confirms the completion of the previous stop. In case of unforeseen events or last minute changes, the waiting times communicated are no longer reliable. So here’s why your customers will love this new feature. They will now be able to view on a map the driver approaching their home and know how many customers still need to be visited before them. In short, your customers no longer need to be stuck at home all day waiting for the driver to arrive. They can go somewhere and still be sure to be there when the driver arrives.
Customers can access the real-time tracking of drivers and service quality feedback from the same link. As soon as the driver confirms that the delivery or service has been completed, the customer can return to this tracking link to rate the service provided.
Ready to discover how to provide a 100% successful customer experience? To do so, you’ll need to spend a few minutes setting up the tracking link. When it’s done, you won’t have to worry about it anymore and the sending to your customers will be automated.
Step 1: Create a tracking link matches your corporate image
First, you need to set up your tracking links by going to the ‘Links configuration’ tab of the ‘Notifications’ module. From this page, you can access the different options and you can in particular:
Displaying your company’s phone number can be particularly useful. For example, your customer has a last minute emergency? He can contact you directly to reschedule a delivery at another time. This way, your driver doesn’t have to go to his home to find the door closed.
Step 2: Create a new notification template
This second step is just to add a new notification template. For example, you can choose the trigger ‘Automatic when route starts’ and don’t forget to include the $trackReviewUrl variable in the message. This way, as soon as your driver starts his route from the AntsRoute mobile application, all the customers to be visited today will receive a notification by SMS or email with a link to follow the driver’s arrival.
And that’s it! 💫
A new trigger for sending notifications has been added to AntsRoute. From now, you can automate the sending of SMS or emails to your customers as soon as your driver starts his route from the mobile application.
In practical terms, as soon as he touches the ‘Start route’ button on the app, all the customers to be visited that day receive a notification indicating the waiting time before the driver arrives.
That’s not all! With the creation of this new tracking link, improvements have also been made to the confirmation and reschedule link. To provide your customers with a better experience, we have improved the display of these pages while allowing you to custom the color to match your corporate image.
Until now, the confirmation link was different from the rescheduling link. To save you time, a single link now allows you to manage both the confirmation and the rescheduling. All you have to do is to choose whether to include the rescheduling button. Of course, you still have the possibility to determine a maximum number of miles of detour allowed. The settings are made directly from the tab ‘Links configuration’ of the module ‘Notifications’.
And the good news: there will be more new features coming soon to go even further in setting up tracking links. 🥳
