You can import existing routes, e.g. with third-party software, in order to re-optimize them. Just follow the steps below:
Enable the import of routes

Go to the “Sites” tab of the “First name – Last name” module.

Click on “…” and “Configure” from the table.

Click on “Settings”.

In the “General settings”, check the box “Enable route import”.

Click on the blue “Save” button.
Import established routes

Go to the “Import of established routes” tab of the “Schedule” module.

Select the date on which the routes are to be imported via the date picker in the upper right-hand corner.

Click on the green “Download a template” button to know the fields to fill in.

Check the presence of the fields below in the file.
Note: The names of columns (or headers) in the Excel or CSV table must be the same as the bold fields defined below (for example: Name, Address, etc.).
List of mandatory fields:
Name of the customer or possibly the company name ;
Address (For example: Earlham St, West End, London WC2H 9HU) ;
Duration in minutes. For example 120 ;
Registration number corresponding to the number defined from the “Vehicles” tab (for example: TS07 PBS).
Note: In the column “Registration number”, you must fill in the cells with the registration numbers defined from the “Vehicles” tab of the “Resources” module.
List of optional fields:
External client identifier, i.e. the customer code of your ERP (if you have one) (For example: C00013434) ;
First name or the company name ;
Phone number in international format (For example: +447111111111 ) ;
E-mail (For example: marie@antsroute.com) ;
Postal code (For example: WC2H 9HU) ;
City (For example: London) ;
Latitude (For example : 48.731612) ;
Longitude (For example : 5.978622) ;
Comments (For example : Ask the guard for the key) ;
Time slot which is one of the time slots defined in “First Name – Last name” > “Sites” > ” … ” > “Configure” > “Time slot management”. The format must be HH:MM-HH:MM (e.g. 08:00-10:00) ;
Comp_XXX with XXX which is one of the skills defined in the settings. Just indicate whether the constraint applies or not (YES or NO) ;
Cap_XXX with XXX which is one of the capabilities defined in the settings. Just indicate the quantity to be transported. This number is an integer. For example 18.
Note: The phone numbers must be in international format. For example, +447111111111 for British phone numbers. To display the “+” mark in the table, format the cells as text.
Note: Make sure to delete empty columns in the table.

Click on the blue “Import your routes” button.

Select your .csv file.
After having imported your file, you get a summary table. Make sure that your file has no errors. Each row in the summary table should have a green background when the client wasn’t registered on AntsRoute and a white background when the client was already registered. When you make changes from this summary table, it is necessary to click on the blue “Validate” button below the table.

Click on the “Import” button located below the table.
Note: You can then find the imported routes in the “Agenda” tab of the “Organize” module. Just select the date on which the routes were imported using the date picker located in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
