Automate the creation of new pickup & delivery order when adding new row in Google Sheets using Zapier
Using Zapier, you can automate the creation of new pickup & delivery orders in AntsRoute when adding new rows in a Google Sheets file. Just follow the steps below:
Note: The connection with Zapier is now a Public Beta version.
Have not connected your AntsRoute account to Zapier yet? Read the article here.
Go to your Zapier account and click on the “Make a Zap” button.

Step 1: Setup the “trigger”

Search Google Sheets via the search bar.

In the “Trigger Event” drop-down list, select “New Spreadsheet Row“.

Click on the “Continue” button.

Click the “Sign in to Google Sheets” button to connect your Google Sheets account to Zapier.

From the “Choose an account” drop-down list, select the Google Sheets account you have just connected.

Click on the “Continue” button.

In the “Spreadsheet” drop-down list, select the desired Google Sheets file.
Note: Remember that your Google Sheets file must include some columns which are required to create pickup & delivery order in AntsRoute.
Here is the list of columns to include in your Google Sheets spreadsheet:
Schedule Date ;
Type ;
Last name ;
Name Of The Loading Location ;
Address Of The Loading Location ;
Duration of the loading ;
Time Slot (start) Of The Loading ;
Time Slot (end) Of The Loading ;
Name Of The Unloading Location ;
Address Of The Unloading Location ;
Duration of the Unloading ;
Time Slot (start) Of The Unloading ;
Time Slot (end) Of The Unloading ;
Capacity_Number ;
Capacity_Weight ;
Capacity_Volume.
Note: The “Schedule Date” column must be replaced by “Due date” (or equivalent) for those using the orders bucket.

In the “Worksheet” drop-down list, select the desired worksheet.

Click on the “Continue” button.

Click on the “Test trigger” button.

Step 2: Setup the “action”

Search AntsRoute via the search bar.

In the “Action Event” drop-down list, select “Create an Order“.

Click on the “Continue” button.
Note: Are you using the bucket of orders in AntsRoute for your appointments which do not have a scheduled date? We invite you to select the “Create an Order in Basket” event.
Note: Have not connected your AntsRoute account to Zapier yet? Go to your AntsRoute account in order to retrieve the API key that you will be asked for on Zapier. To do this, just go to AntsRoute > click on the “API Key” tab > click on “Add” > Select the site > Click on “Create” > Click on “Copy” > Click on “Continue”. You can now go back to Zapier and click on “Sign in to AntsRoute” and enter the API key you just retrieved and click on “Yes, Continue“.

In the “Choose an account” drop-down list, select “AntsRoute”.

Click on the “Continue” button.
1st OPTION: Add a Loading-Delivery operation

Select the type “DELIVERY“.
Note: By selecting the DELIVERY type, you add a delivery that will be preceded by a loading (associated with this delivery).

For “Scheduled date“, select the column “Scheduled date“» (or the column with the dates of operations).
Note: If you have selected “Create an Order in Basket“, you must select “Due-date” (or equivalent) instead of “Scheduled Date”.

For “Duration“, select the column “Duration of the Unloading” (or the column with the duration of delivery).

For “Time Slot Start“, select the column “Time Slot (start) Of The Unloading” (or the column with the starting time slot of delivery).

For “Time Slot End“, select the column “Time Slot (End) Of The Unloading” (or the column with the end time slot of delivery).

For “Last name“, select the column “Last name” (or the column with the name of the customer to deliver).

For “Address“, select the column “Address Of The Unloading Location” (or the column with the address of the customer to deliver).
Information about the Loading

For “Name of The Loading Location“, select the column “Name of The Loading Location” (or the column with the name of the loading place).

For “Address of The Loading Location“, select the column “Address of The Loading Location” (or the column with the address of the loading place).

For “Loading Duration“, select the column “Duration of The Loading” (or the column with the duration of loading).

For “Time Slot (Start) of the Loading“, select the column “Time Slot (start) Of The Loading” (or the column with the start time slot of loading).

For “Time Slot (End) of the Loading“, select the column “Time Slot (End) Of The Loading” (or the column with the end time slot of loading).
Other information about the Delivery (or Unloading)

For “Name of The Unloading Location“, select the column “Name of The Unloading Location” (or the column with the name of unloading place).
Note: When adding AntsRoute orders from Google Sheets, it is not possible to fill in the extra fields about the customers.

Fill in the other fields if necessary (phone, mobile phone, email, comments about delivery, comments about the loading, etc.).
Note: IMPORTANT ! Don’t forget to add beforehand the three following capacities from your AntsRoute account (AntsRoute > Settings > Capacities > Add) :
Number (name = Number ; unit = unit and validation mode = optional) ;
Weight (name = Weight ; unit = kg and validation mode = optional) ;
Volume (name = Volume ; unit = m3 and validation mode = optional).
Then you must add the these three columns in you Google Sheet file: “Capacity_Number” ; “Capacity_Weight” and “Capacity_Volume”. The cells of these three columns can’t remain blank. If you don’t want to display these capacities in AntsRoute, just enter the value “0” in the cells of these three columns. Finally, when creating your Zap, make sure these capacities are properly selected. (See screenshot below).

Click on the “Continue” button.

Click on the “Test & Continue” button.

Finally, click on the “Turn on Zap” button.
The creation of the Zap is now completed. From now, when you add a new line in your Google Sheets spreadsheet, the loading-delivery order will also be added in AntsRoute.
2nd OPTION: Add a Collect-Unloading operation

Select the type “COLLECT“.
Note: By selecting the COLLECT type, you add a collect that will be followed by an Unloading (associated with this collect).

For “Scheduled date“, select the column “Scheduled date” (or the column with the dates of collect).
Note: If you have selected “Create an Order in Basket“, you must select “Due-date” (or equivalent) instead of “Scheduled Date”.

For “Duration“, select the column “Duration of the Loading” (or the column with the duration of collect).

For “Time Slot (Start)“, select the column “Time Slot (start) Of The Loading” (or the column with the start time slot of collect).

For “Time Slot (End)“, select the column “Time Slot (End) Of The Loading” (or the column with the end time slot of collect).

For “Last name“, select the column “Last name” (or the column with the name of customer to collect).

For “Address“, select the column “Address Of The Loading Location” (or the column with the address of customer to collect).

For “Name of The Loading Location“, select the column “Name of The Loading Location” (or the column with the name of the collect location).
Information about the Unloading

For “Name of The Unloading Location“, select the column “Name of The Unloading Location” (or the column with the name of the unloading location).

For “Address of The Unloading Location“, select the column “Address of The Unloading Location” (or the column with address of the unloading location).

For “Unloading Duration“, select the column “Duration of The Unloading” (or the column with the duration of unloading).

For “Time Slot (Start) of the Unloading“, select the column “Time Slot (start) Of The Unloading” (or the column with the start time slot of unloading).

Note: When adding AntsRoute orders from Google Sheets, it is not possible to fill in the extra fields about the customers.

The creation of the Zap is now completed. From now, when you add a new line in your Google Sheets spreadsheet, the collect-unloading order will also be added in AntsRoute.
